What is
Penalty Recovery
Let’s talk about Google penalties first. This is a sudden and drastic drop in your organic search ranking on Google, caused by a Google employee update of the Google algorithm and/or manual manipulation.
- Don’t feel too bad if you get penalized by Google. Some of the biggest sites on the Internet have been affected. Example: /p>
- BBC fined for “unnatural links”
- Mozilla, maker of the Firefox web browser, fined by “Googlers” for user-generated content
- JC Penney fined for buying link.
- The Washington Post was penalized for selling links
- BMW and Ricoh have temporarily removed their site from the list
- Either way, if you get penalized by Google, it’s one of the following…

Two Types of Google Penalties
A manual action from Google’s anti-spam team. To see if you’ve been penalized manually, go to Google Webmaster Tools on your site and check for “unusual links” or similar messages.
An algorithmic action is more difficult to determine because it is an automatic penalty. And you need to match the date you lost your traffic with the date the update occurred in Google’s algorithm change history. It requires a lot of research and analysis, which is best done by a team that knows what to look for.
According to Matt Cutts, former head of the web spam team at Google, more than 400,000 manual actions are performed by Google each month. And that’s not to mention the thousands upon thousands of sites penalized by algorithmic actions, based on updates like Penguin and Panda.
Fun Fact: We’ve seen research showing that only about 20,000 webmasters a month contact Google to submit a reconsideration request. If you do the math, only about 5% of penalized sites are actively trying to regain their search rankings. What a shame! Because you can recover from a Google penalty. This is …

Qualifies To Work With 360 Marketing Lens
We have inspired and motivated business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals around the world for the past few years, and we’ve designed apps that both boost brand awareness and drives productivity off the charts. However, we realized that we couldn’t help everyone. and the truth is not everyone is our match made in heaven. Therefore, we only accept new clients after an extensive screening process that helps us determine whether we will be a good fit for each other.
13 Reasons Why You Might Get A Google Penalty:
1. Too many mutual links.
Exchanging links with other sites used to be a great marketing tactic…until website owners started abusing it. Now, Google may consider too many links as manipulation, especially if sites unrelated to your industry refer you.
2. Duplicate content.
This is obvious, but any content on your site that copies/pastes content from others will definitely be deprecated by Google. And that can penalize you. The golden rule of SEO is: only post unique and useful content.
3. Invalid sitemap data.
Google uses the XML sitemap on your website to understand its architecture. You must make sure that your sitemap is up to date and accessible by Google. Or it could hurt you.
4. Too many keywords.
There are many theories about keyword density on web pages, but none have been proven. It’s a clear fact: unusually high keyword density is a red flag for Google.
5. Hidden links.
All links on your website should be useful and visible to users. All hidden links are considered suspicious by Google. For example, never create a link with the same color as the background color of the website, even if your intentions are good.
6. The external link is broken.
If the links on your site are not up to date, Google will assume that you don’t care about user experience. Always check your links regularly and remove or fix broken ones.
7. Slow website speed.
If your site loads slowly for users, they will get frustrated. And Google will know that, because that’s the metric they measure. Many factors can slow down your website, which can be a complicated problem for you to fix on your own. .
8. Robots.txt errors.
The robots.txt file is used to tell search engines which parts of your website you don’t want to be indexed. Even if you have a good reason to exclude sites from Google and other search engines, do so carefully. Blocking too much can lead to a penalty.
9. 301 Redirects.
If you’re penalized on your site, using a 301 redirect to redirect traffic may just move the penalty to a new location. And this penalty can persist long after the redirect is removed.
10. Error codes.
Google wants to provide an exceptional experience for searchers. But a 404 error on your site will NOT make people happy when they find out that a page is missing. Regularly scan your site to find and fix error codes.
11. SEO is too much.
Google loves organic content. And they can tell if you’re trying to “exclude SEO” from other sites. It sounds a bit counter-intuitive, but unless you’re an SEO expert who keeps up to date with Google’s rules on a daily basis, you should focus on posting organic content.
12. Malicious backlinks.
Unfortunately, nothing can stop an asshole or a ruthless competitor from setting up malicious backlinks to punish you. Vigilance is the best defense. Regularly monitor backlinks to your site using Google Webmaster Tools.
13. Targeted keywords. Google monitors keywords found on low-quality spammy sites. “Viagra” and “short-term loan” are examples of keywords that can get you penalized if they appear frequently on your site. If you work in an industry filled with spam, you need to be extra careful.

How can
You recover from Google penalty?
The good news is that a sentence is not a death sentence. In most cases, you can get your site to rank higher in search again and regain lost traffic.
In our experience, whether you’re penalized by manual or algorithmic action, more than 95% of penalties are caused by bad backlinks to your site.
This means you need to analyze your backlinks to find the ones that might have caused the problem. But the whole thing is much more involved than that.
It’s really a 3-step process: identify the bad links, try to remove them, and disavow the remaining links. It takes time. And persistent effort. But you really have no other choice if you want to get your organic search rankings back.
Now this is exactly how to get your ranking back…

Step 1: Identify bad links
Go to Google Webmaster Tools and upload all the backlinks to your site. Google will export them in CSV format. Once you identify bad backlinks, you usually need to check them one by one. But there are ways to sort them by “value” and save time. Here are the signs of bad, low-value backlinks:
Sites not included in Google’s index. This usually means they’ve been penalized and banned from search results. the site has too many external links (aka link farms).
Next, after identifying all the bad backlinks to your site, you need to…
Step 2: Try to remove bad links
Find the contact details of every website that has bad backlinks to you. It can be as simple as searching for an “About Us” or “Contact Us” website. If these pages are missing, try searching the domain on www.Whois.com to find their admin contact email.
Next, send each site a friendly email asking to remove their links to you. You can expect one of the following results: your link is removed (Yay!); your email is ignored, or the webmaster is asking for money to remove the link (Boo! See step 3 below).

Step 3: Disavow bad links
For any remaining backlinks that you cannot remove, you can disavow them. When you do this, it’s like telling Google that you don’t want those links to be considered when analyzing your site for ranking.
In Google Webmaster Tools, this option looks like this:
- RECOVERY PENALTY
Once you’ve gone through your recovery steps, file a reconsideration request with Google. It often happens that applications are rejected several times before being accepted, especially if you are new to the process. You need to be patient or work with a professional to speed up the process.
The Bad News About Penalty Recovery
While regaining your site’s search rankings may be simple, it’s not. And if you don’t know what you’re doing, the process can take months.
A reason? There can be more than one penalty hit on your site. Identifying and removing these penalties can be expensive because there’s no phone number or tech support at Google for this – they’ll never tell you what happened. This means that fixing your website is NOT an overnight process.
But the help is there. Our Penalty Recovery service is designed to find the error and then fix it. So you get your website traffic – and your business – back where it was before it was hacked, or better.

We were very surprised by the way Joey, Charles, Paul and the team at 360 Marketing Lens works, it's the first time someone opens our eyes to what is happening with our campaigns and involves us deeply into the process, which now I understand the importance of why they do it they way they do, we are with 360 Marketing Lens for more than 9 months now, and we are very happy with them, they are the only company that provided us with raw results constantly.

This company is probably the best we have encountered as of yet, we have been suffering from poor “SEO” experts by 5 companies that are known out there and yet all fail to deliver and over promise the sky. With over the top we literally had 100% interaction in our campaign, we were an active part of the process and still are always in the loop. We finally saw results after several short months with a continuing growth in sales. We are so happy to have met Joseph and his team of professionals, and we are not going anywhere.

We started working with 360 Marketing Lens after looking for serious SEO experts, we found them in the top positions for most of the competitive words we looked up and after much consideration we decided to go with them, We can’t disclose too much but I can say that it is a beautiful relationship and we are most grateful for the technical knowledge these guys have. Overall just 10/10.

360 Marketing Lens chose a great name, because their results really all wholesome, and on point. I worked out an estimated ROI I’d get from working with them, and the results have FAR exceeded what I thought I’d be getting. First page results all over the place, ranking for wayyyyy more phrases than I was even expecting, and the traffic has turned into a game changing amount of new business for me and my company. Thank you guys sincerely!

360 Marketing Lens Ninjas have done outstanding things for our business growth and our online presence. Prior to working with 360 Marketing Lens, we attempted to run our own PPC campaigns with very low results (wasting a lot of money). After bringing in Over The Top, who understands our needs and is very attentive, the phone is ringing off the hook. Thank you for helping us triple our profits! We give them the highest regard for their skill set and highly recommend them for any company’s website building and online presence.

After hiring a few SEO firms over the years, with little to no results, I decided to give one more crack at it. I learned about 360 Marketing Lens while researching the best link building companies on Google, and found myself stumbling across their website. I was introduced to the founder, Joseph Ndungu, by one of his employees, and could immediately tell my experience would be different. Joey seems to have a knowledge of SEO that far surpasses that of 99% of the SEO firms I’ve dealt with in the past, and the results speak for itself. I plan on using his services in the months to come.

It sounds that I am very buyest, but hee, what these guys do works. On a daily basis you see your positions improve, traffic get better and your store grow. We are happy bumping into 360 Marketing Lens, even though we are a Dutch company, they managed to get Gereedschappelijk the ranking we were looking for. And still improving…!
